Hori Fighting Stick 3 Faceplate Design
Howdy, y'all! I need some design inspiration! I've made this template below as an example of what I'm designing, which is...
...The faceplate for a Hori Fighting Stick 3! Woo hoo!
As you can see, I've left the faceplate white and would really appreciate it if people could whip up something basic (or complex!) and send me ideas for images or patterns that'd look cute/groovy/whatever.
TEMPLATE:
Please help me out! Email designs to me at:
thesovietchairman [at] gmail [dot] com
I'll upload any designs I receive and credit you (or not, should you request). If you can't be bothered booting up Photoshop or Paint.NET or CorelDRAW or MS Paint, then just post ideas in the comments!
Here's an (horrible) example of what can be whipped up in seconds.
So please... Send 'em my way!
I shall be grateful for the inspiration/ideas/laughs.

P.S. The button colours have been chosen to match their functions in several of my fighting games. The cherry top on the joystick is a translucent, gorgeous purple with bubbles inside because it's awesome. So shut up.
P.P.S. I went out and bought a soldering kit and a dremel! Yaysies!
P.P.P.S If you want a template for a more completed design, so I can print it- It's here:
P.P.P.P.S Here's some of my case modding gear, including buttons, wires, soldering iron, solder sponge, solder and dremel kit.

Weddings, schools and wires
Well, hopefully just one wedding. I don't want to plan any more of them. One is exactly the right number to plan, I feel.
So we've looked at dresses and venues and catering companies and guest lists and suits and invitation designs (I'll be sure to post the finished one up here) and rings and photographers and... other stuff. It's all very exciting.
I'm going to be Mrs. Koh!
Wait. That came out wrong. Maybe.
We've set a date (finally) and everyone's getting on board with things now. We're all very happy.
And I'm blogging again. Yaysies~!
I have started in this new scholastic direction of mine and have already spent a day in a secondary school, in a few classrooms.
That's right. In case you missed the update- I'm going to be a teacher. Bring it on! I can't wait to get amongst the students and work magic in a classroom, enlightening them and encouraging them and most of all, learning with them.
Another fun little diversion that I've jumped into is this:
I've also purchased Sanwa buttons along with the wiring necessary to reorder the inputs to my preferred layout.
I'll switch 'em up from:
L1 (□) (Δ) R1
L2 (×) (O) R2
to:
(□) (Δ) (O) R1
(×) L1 L2 R2
I'll be using these colourful buttons:
I'll also be modding the faceplate, perhaps with a coat of paint, but most likely with a new decal, printed laminated and fitted to the top.
Any ideas for designs?
I don't want a game-specific design, and I was thinking it'd be cute to have a highly pacifistic design to adorn my new Hori Fighting Stick 3. Seriously. Gimme ideas.
I'll update you with the progress.
Also- do any of my local friends know where I could get some soldering gear?
Much love,
TSC

Edit:
Here's a preliminary mock-up of an idea I had (please ignore the crappy shortcuts I took in giving it perspective- i.e. pretend the red ball is round and on top of a stick). I adore Mother 3 and I've always liked this image from the Mother 3 Handbook of Lucas and Boney with the ghost of Hinawa, together in the sunflower fields. Is it too noisy? Should I stick to my own art? I dunno.

Welcome to our house
I cycled through the crisp morning, smiling at the thought of the hot breakfast and loving arms I knew were waiting for me.
I'd slept through my alarm. She had raised me from my slumber with a text detailing the imminence of the morning meal time and the necessity for my immediate departure, should I expect any heat to be retained in the dish that was waiting on the table.
Upon arriving at her house, I dismounted my velocipede. As soon as I was through the door, she serenaded me with a gorgeous rendition of You Belong With Me by Taylor Swift while I tucked into the (thankfully still warm) plate of glazed ham and apple with mustard.
I have to be honest. I teared up almost immediately.
You want to know how life is at the moment?
It's good. Pretty darn good.
