Hmmm... This place could use some Spring cleaning

Or Winter cleaning. Winter is much better for cleaning, 'cause you don't wanna go outside into the cold air. Yes?

I've just whipped up a new header, to replace this old one:

Here's the new one.

However, I think the colours of this place might need a shake-up.

BTW- The two little guys having a chat in the bottom left corner are Jax and Kat, two very dear friends. I have many dear friends, but they also happen to be my best man and fiancée. The real reason they're in the header is because those two people walking down the staircase are the real-life counterparts. The lady holding the nest is my sister, Kim.

Whadya think? Should I keep it?

TheSovietChairman

P.S. Don't worry, the (not)chickens will still be with us.

  1. Where's your real life counterpart?

  2. Well, I've got two tiny versions of me to make up for it ;). Plus, we all know what I look like, and truth be told, I visit my blog more than anyone else, so I don't wanna look at me all the time. If anybody wants to, there's a link to my facebook in the side bar, and there're no restrictions on viewing my photos :).

    Header alright, though?

After working on something for longer than 2 minutes, I can no longer view it objectively. That's why I like scribbling my (not)chickens.

    :)

  3. Oh, all right fine. A girl had to try though, right?

I like the header. It's a bit more personal than just the chickens and...boxes?

Oh two minutes? It takes me 2 hours to change a color on my blog and then decide that I liked it better the original way and change it back. And then I scribble things not nearly as endearing as not!chickens.

    You win, Chairman. You win.

  4. Heh heh. I guess it is. That was the aim, I think. The "boxes" where meant to be a reference to every box that ever arbitrarily looked like that for the purpose of being eliminated in puzzle games. Slightly too specific a reference, methinks.

I only meant it took longer than two minutes to do the header, so I can't really get a good idea of what it looks like any more. The (not)chickens have to be done in less than 30 seconds, otherwise they start to look especially crap. It's odd, if I concentrate on drawing, it looks like something Napoleon Dynamite would have come up with, but if I just scribble, they turn out much more endearing :).

I still can't manage a post to be as funny or as insightful as yours.

I like green. Blue has been...

    ...blue.

  5. I love this! I like how you used to have it, but this new blog setup has so much character! I love the pixal versions of you and your friends :) And the green makes everything seem more perky. Blue is very mellow.

    Awesome job, Chairman!

  6. Thanks, ever-supportive-Emmy! Does that mean I should be sceptical of your compliments, because you wouldn't say anything else? Probably! But who cares :).

  7. I'm flattened... I mean flattered :)
Also, I very much like the green. It has more life in it than the blue. Also, I find it much more reassuring and warm.

Very suitable if you ask me :D
    *hugs*

  8. Hey man I think I like it. Colours are wicked also. We were all sick of the blue... what, you were all thinking it!

  9. Haha; don't be silly, Evan! I say nice things because that's how I feel. If I ever disagreed, I'd say so. I'm not always agreeable, but I appreciate the compliment :P

  10. Thanks, Kimmikins! We were all thinking it, indeed. I've always been a very green person, but Adam convinced me that the blue was stylish. Sorry, Emmy, only teasing ;).

  11. Well I checked it out like you asked.
And the green doesn't go with the season.
Should use the "darker" colors or moody hues.
Otherwise, it's pretty much the same.
Just without the (not)chickens and with People.
    :)

  12. I like the green! It has more life than the blue. Also, thank you for the compliment. Mostly I sarcastically whine on my blogs. I'll trade you some sarcasm for the ability to draw the cutest things ever in 30 seconds. :)

I don't blame you if you pass.

  13. Huh? Who's this anonymous? :)

    Thanks, though :).

  14. I could use some more sarcasm, and drawing's very simple. Just scribble shapes, don't go for straight lines and picture a baby koala.

    Mmmm...

    Delicious...

  15. You should know who the Anonymous person is.
There was even a hint in that comment.

  16. I have such a poor memory... I get the feeling that you know that, though...

  17. Yeah.
    I do.
I'm like so amazing, you would never forget my name...................
once you figure it out xP!

  18. Well, only HH writes like that... Amarite?

    Why not use your name?

  19. What's floating above your lounging pixel man? A hot dog?

  20. WHAT?!

    Hmph...

    It's a butterfly...

Like this, except mine's nicer: http://www.videogamesprites.net/Earthbound/NPCs/Nonhuman/Animals/Magic%20Butterfly.gif

  21. Oh! I see it. Aww.

...but you totally see the hot dog too, right?

    ReplyDelete
  22. Hmph... Nope. Not. A. Bit.

    :)

    ReplyDelete
  23. Who's HH? I have no idea who that is.

    ReplyDelete
  24. And I, for the life of me, can't figure out who you are...

    And it's bugging me...

    Hmmm...
